Put your sugeon and date in your signature line to circumvent the terrible OH policy

Hi,

I am sure many of you have noticed that surgeons and dates are no longer displayed in posts.  It appears that only the surgeons that pay the penny can show up.  What bad policy!  Given responses to post vary depending on how freshly post op somebody is makes this policy just plain irresponsilbe and greed driven.  So, if you have a moment post your surgeon and vsg date in your signature.

I just changed my surgeon to Cirangle - he's one of the sponsors of the site, so he still shows up on people's headers, and that makes it so my surgery date displays too.

I've also contacted OH about this issue and I suggest everyone does the same!

I was told that it is a technical problem that should be resolved soon.

Not buying it- there is a thread on another board where posters went in to check to see if their surgeon showed up.  The ones that pay the penny did, the ones who don't advertise did not.  Not a full proof and detailed examination of the problem by any stretch- but either way a simple solution is to put it in the signature.

I've been told "we're referring this to IT" and, from IT, "this is a known feature."   So I don't feel that it will be changed any time soon :(

In fact, just this minute I got,

Hello Gwen,   This is not a bug but a design change. We have forward our members concerns/request to IT to let them know members are requesting to at least have the surgery date and type to show when posting.
