to color or not to color....
so my surgery is Sept 15th..I normally wouldnt high light my hair til around The middle of December..but that will be my 3 month mark, and from what i hear thats when the hair starts to thin...so im wondering if doing it before surgery would be ok...or is that a bad idea also? should I just forget it all together...and do it maybe 6 or so months after surgery?
I just got mine cut and colored on Tuesday, my surgery is Friday. I wanted a fresh look for my new journey!! Plus I didn't want to deal with it post op, until later.
My aunt (VSG) didn't have hair issues (thinning/losing) around her 5-6 month.
If you're going to lose your hair, you're going to lose it. Coloring it won't make a difference.

I would do whatever makes you feel good. No way to predict what your hair will do, so enjoy it while you have it. You may also want to keep up the highlights just in case you do start losing hair since it tends to be less noticeable with lighter hair.
