Signed my consent form with the surgeon and the forms are being sent to my insurance company for approval. And the waiting begins....

Congratulations it's almost here .... this is the hardest part so just remember you can do it!!! :-)

Congrats!! All I can say is make sure u are really ready for this change.....more mentally. I am 10 post op and really regretting surgery. I know in a couple of months I'll be OK but I wish I would have read up more about the emotional aspect of this. Good luck to you.

My brother had the surgery and he keeps trying to explain the emotional and psychological side of it. He just keeps saying...people and food look different. He can't really explain it....this lets me know that there is more to this adjustment then just food. Thanks Ashleylara!

good luck with your surgery. you won't regret it.  I had quite a long wait between decision and actuall surgery. so i decided to use that time toward my goal and not just wait.  i started some better eating habits and a little exercise. i was down 17 lbs by surgery.  if you are going to change your habits for life, why not start now!!    diane
