Seems like I keep saying I'm not going to post anymore progress pics until I'm in onederland but just about every other Sunday I end up posting one anyway.  Not too long ago I was as big as the front door that I'm standing in front of, my weight before surgery was 282 pounds now I'm at 204 and my goal is 160 I'm fairly tall and big boned so that's why I chose 160 as my goal.  I cried the other day while praying...before surgery I had days that I was so ashamed of myself that I would sit on the couch ALL day and not even open the blinds.  I was so depressed about how I looked and felt and thought that things would never change.  Then the miracle of my surgery that has only been effective because I follow my Doctors food and exercise plan has given me this new lease on life.  I never imagined that I would be feeling this amazing again after so many years of bad health because of the bad food choices I made.  I am addicted to thrift and consignment store shopping now and don't think I'll ever pay full price for anything again unless it's for a special occasion.  I have ordered a dress from sears for a wedding in October though for $35 as they are having a great sale now, it's orange too and a size 12.  This MSK dress is also a 12 but the sizing is leanient because it's a stretchy slip underneath.  Most of the things I'm wearing now are a size 14.  I started out in a size 24.  This is just a progress pic I know I'm still in the works but I love my goodwill dress.  It was new with tags still on it and all I paid for it was $5.79.  I also bought a nine west dress for $10 at another thrift shop that I've found online for $98 so that's why I'm hooked on thrift store shopping...huge savings.  The litte dachshund pomeranian mix is Daisy and her birthday is this Wednesday, she will be 4.  Happy Sunday everybody and have a wonderful afternoon.  If you haven't had surgery yet GO FOR IT if you can!

Love the dress, and you look beautiful in it!!   I enjoyed thrift shopping even before surgery, but many do not carry much for plus size clothing.  I am almost 4 weeks post op now, and can't wait to hit some to get smaller sizes. First i have to "shop" out of my closet!!

You look amazing!  Enjoy the new clothes.  I say take all the progress pics you want.  It is fun & you have earned it.

I also find myself justifying my goal weight.  There is no need!  160 is super healthy for a lot of people.  I have been between 178 - 182 for the past several months.  Honestly, I think I am pretty tiny, but then I see the number and still think it is large.  Oh its a mind game.  Society has made me think 135 is the 'normal' weight for women.  But that is so skewed and many of us work look like crap and be very unhealthy at that weight.

You rock :)

I still haven't been to a thrift store.  I think I'm both scared and not really sure what the point would be since I don't want to buy clothes!  But.. one of these days.  I clearly need to ask my bff to go thrifting with me.  She's got a good sense of style :)
