NSV: Teacher-Student challenge

I have been running half/full marathons for the last two years now. I have hung all my finishing metals on the wall in my classroom. I have had many discussions about each race my students. At the beginning of this school year, one of my 10th grade students challenged me to a one mile race. If he won, the class will get a free day. If I won, I simply get bragging rights. Well, this past Friday I took him up on this challenge and I won. My time was 6:45, the best time I have ran since I began running 2 1/2 years ago (not bad for 49 years old). I was so jazzed about winning the race, I let the kids have a free day anyway.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I had ran 5 miles before school like I usually do.
