9 days out - Hypoglycemia?

I was not a diabetic before. Today I slept in and lounged in bed for a while so did not eat until around 10:30 a. M. By the time I got downstairs I was sweating and nauseous and felt like I was going to pass out. I had a protein shake and one bite of chicken and lay down for about an hour before I felt better. Is it possible to have hypoglycemia after VSG?

I had issues with it post surgery. For several months I had to be very careful about spacing out carbs/meals/snacks. Once I got the routine down I rarely had an issue. Keep an eye on it- generally if it happens again, you eat something, and you feel better about 15 minutes later that might be the culprit. You can buy a glucose monitoring system pretty cheaply- walmart has a brand that the supplies are particularly a good deal.

Thanks for the info! Who would think six months ago I'd have an issue not eating enough!
