Got infected and need your prayers!
Hi everyone,
So I got sleeved on 10/08/14, and everything was going smoothly except that my left side was painful because of the drain located in the superior portion on my belly and one incision at the bottom. So I thought it was normal to be in pain because of the surgery.
On the 15th I had my drain pulled out of me. It was very painful but I made it. And last Friday 10/17/14 I had to go to the ER because my lower incision has opened and there was a white and red liquid coming out of it. So when I got in they told me that I have an infection and they have to do an MRI to see how deep is the infection.
To make the story short the surgeon has opened again my incision and cleaned up the wound . I have been receiving antibiotics every 6hours. I'm writing you guys on my bed at the hospital. The doctor said they don't kno how I got infected he said it is just a bad luck.
I hope this is going to be the last bad luck cause I can't take anymore pain.
Take care guys!
I am so sorry that happened to you Mimi. I hope you are on the road to recovery. One of my incisions was oozing blood and goo. The nurse took a culture and I was put on antibiotics. It is still tender but I think it is healing, it has almost been a month since my surgery. Take care of yoiurself.
