Losing Weight Sucks

Can we have a tongue in cheek post about all the things that suck about losing weight?  I'll start it off with a few...

1. Clothes are expensive!!  And you don't want to buy too much, because you'll just ungrow it in a few weeks or months.

2. I do so much laundry.  Exercise clothes, regular clothes, omg.  So many clothes.

3. More suitcase space.  Even though my clothes take up less space, since they're smaller, I have to pack more - exercise clothes, protein powders, emergency protein foods just in case, vitamins, etc, etc.

4. My mother who feels the need to say, "but I thought you were beautiful before too!!!" every time she compliments my weight loss.  Love you, mom :D

5. STALLS

What are yours?  :)

Since I've been sitting all day at my desk... my tailbone!!! I had heard rumors of painful butts after surgery but I never dreamed how irritating it would be.

Clothes, man oh man. I have gone down one pant size this month. Everything else I feel like I can fudge, but ill fitting pants and bras drive me crazy.

  1. Clothes are expensive and annoying.  The sizes vary so greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer that I have to try on EVERYTHING before I buy it.  For someone who preferred shopping online, this is now a time consuming process which requires that I go into stores and dressing rooms.
  2. More laundry indeed. Since my clothes selection is so limited now, I have to do laundry more than once a week.
  3. Everything BUT my underwear have required a size change.  When, oh when, will my chonies fall off my body and I can rejoice?
  4. The pain in my ass.  No, not my idiotic boss, but my ass is not comfortable unless I have my special butt pillow protecting it.  Driving home from the office is murder, especially if the traffic is horrible.  Yes, I know I should buy butt pillows for the car, the house and the office, but I'm hoping that eventually the pain will subside.
  5. Getting rid of the preop constant pain in my knee, but having it replaced by plantar fasciitis in my left heel.  I have discovered the joys of walking at late at night, listening to music and clearing my head, but the pain in my heel the next day is ******g me off.  I'm constantly stretching the tendons, ligaments, muscles - whatever the hell they are - but it's not gone completely.  The irony - I'm ready to regularly exercise, but this new pain is kicking me in the chops.
  6. Laughing for years at cartoons depicting old women with their boots down to their belly buttons; now looking in a mirror and realizing "Hey, that's ME."

OMG, sizing.  My parents asked me what size I wear for Christmas presents and I'm just like, "OMG DON'T YOU DARE WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CLOTHES FOR ME."  And how could I tell them sizes?!  I need to try on everything and it's ridiculous!  I agree - it's so much more time consuming now.  I actually had to go to a real lingerie store and ****  What's up with that?!

I told my parents that, if they're desperate, they should give me money for clothes instead :P  We'll see if they heed my request.

I had to get new orthotics for my shoes once I lost 70 pounds or so due to my plantar fasciitis.  Apparently they're made different for people over 250 than for people under 250... who knew?

I've alwayssss hated it when my family tries to buy me clothes. Like seriously, look, if you want me to get new clothes buy me a gift card or give me the cash! lol.

I'd even be okay with the gift of "let me take you shopping" if they wanted to be involved in the actual selection, you know?  But, really, I need money most for boring clothes for exercise, since I can't stand having that stuff be baggy :/

My original ass pain finally went away, but as a consolation prize I get pain from my SI joint getting out of whack, so now I just have a different type of ass pain.

ok, silly question...where is your SI pain?  I'm wondering if the pain in my ass is SI related.

Right sided, in that not-quite hip, yet not lower back area, centered in my butt cheek.

I thoufht it was sciatica at first, but my doc said it was SI out of alignment, so I went to a few physical therapy sessions and learned how to do some alignment exercises. I also got a realky stylish belt to wear
