Lucky Friday the 14th ! My surgery date is set!
So super excited...and nervous...and apprehensive...and ready!
How can a person have so many emotions at once? It has taken me 4 years to get to this point. I started considering WLS 4 years ago...got the paperwork for it on 2 different occasions and chickened out. Then earlier this year I finally decided enough was enough! No more procrastination! My weight was higher than it has ever been and I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
I'm sure my story isn't so different from anyone else who has made this life changing decision.
The past 6 months have been long. It hasn't always been easy. I have cheated myself more than a few times over the past months and I wasn't proud of that. I want to do better, to be better, to feel better. But that part of me that REALLY likes food, and that little voice in my head, they keep trying to conspire against me. They have won a few battles...but the war is about to get into full swing now. My secret weapon will be implemented on this coming Friday, November 14th! Watch out will power! Run for cover little voice! I'm bringin' in the big guns!
