Hells Bells - Some kind of restriction...STILL

I'll be 3 years out on December 7th. I went with my partner and a friend out for "burgers" tonight. We went to a gourmet burger joint (organic, grass fed beef or Kobe beef available type of place). I ordered an organic beef burger 1/4 pound sized with Nieman Ranch bacon and some avocado, grilled onion and lettuce - NO BUN. Well, it sure was tasty and I must have eaten just a tad too quickly and WHAM!!!!! the restriction kicked in after about eating 1/2 the burger (so maybe 2 oz cooked). I haven't felt like this in quite some time. It was that super intense feeling that you just can't hide - hiccups, stuck food feeling, etc....My dinner mates described me as green around the gills and I sort of felt that way, too! While I'm not loving the way I felt, I'm feeling better and appreciate knowing how well my sleeve still works!

I'm also remembering why I don't eat hamburger/ground beef much anymore!

I don't know why, but I can eat more steak than I can hamburger. Maybe it's just because it's a tougher cut of meat to begin with, and takes longer to go through.

Amen!

Chocolate is currently on my "do not eat" list of foods! Just easier that way.

If I could, I'd put it on a never look at again list. But I'm doing an eating disorder treatment program where we aren't "supposed" to have such lists. We have these challenge snacks where we have to eat some kind of triggering food...it sucks ass for sure but they've promised me their process works...

HI,

I see you are in Southern California like me. Can I ask what eating disorder program you are doing?

Good to know restriction still exists that far out. Just further reinforces for me, that I picked the right procedure.

Can't do anything for you on the sugar thing......

But, I got stuff for you on the ground meats.... don't write them off yet, I'm finding ground meats as go-to proteins because they take add-on flavors so well.
