Hi all! Yesterday was a very busy day for me! I received a call from all three doctors that I have to meet with to get surgery approved: physical therapist, psych, and dietitian. I have my appointments made and two of those are the in the next two weeks. My appt with the dietitian isn't until January 14th though. I have to attend the seminar on Dec 9th. My PCP also sent over the paperwork for my 6 months and a letter of rec. It is all starting to come together and quickly! The surgeon had told me at my consult appt that my insurance is usually fairly quick at approving and said it only take about 1 or 2 weeks. So hopefully, if everything goes well maybe I will have a date by the middle of January!!! 

Also, just curious, did your dr give you a certain brand of protein drink to drink? Mine told me to use Bariatric Advantage.. But I know he endorses them... They even had an order form in their office.. Anyways, has anyone used this or something just as good?

I lucked out with loving the first protein powder I tried - optimum nutrition double rich chocolate.  I've tried a number of others and haven't liked them much at all.  So be prepared to need to try a few.  Don't buy a huge amount of anything right off the bat since it might suck.
