Down two sizes, no weight loss

I'm not sure if I'm frustrated by this, or not.

Since July, I've basically lost no weight to speak of. I shift back and forth between 195 and 198, depending on the day. Never going over 199, and never dropping below 194. But, since July I've gone from a size 16 to a size 14 and now to a size 12. I'm assuming this is a result of my gym work.

I let it bother me for awhile, but I think I've finally accepted my weight never coincides with generally accepted sizes. I mean... just shy of 200 pounds and wearing a medium?

So, as long as my bloodwork is good, my clothes are fitting great, and I'm feeling good... I'm not stressing it.

I this this a great attitude. My medical team never gave me a weight goal since my major motivation is health. The only reason I had one at all  was to make my little ticket widget work. I think I will know when I get there.

I am in the same boat, I fluctuate between 210 and 207 depending on the day but I have lost inches. It is frustrating and it has been like that for me since August I think.

Great job!! I would feel good about it if your blood work is good, you're feeling good and you lost two clothes sizes!

Awesome that you're losing sizes!  The weight will start coming off again eventually.  Sounds like your body is just taking time to adjust everywhere else.

And I know what you mean about sizes.  I'm 200 now and can wear a men's small t-shirt with no problem.  That's just WRONG.

Good for you, Gail!  I really wished I'd been that way.  My weight kept going lower but everyone on these boards was at a higher weight and wearing smaller sizes - it seriously pissed me off!   I probably still wear a larger size than most people do at 135 lbs. but oh well!

Keep up the great work!

I think you make a good point about weight vs. size... I weigh 190 and a size 12 tall. Medium shirts are too tight for my taste, but if they are a tall they fit like most women wear them. I am a giant, and not skinny nor fat, but a 12 doesn't seem right. My daighter is 6'2'' and a size 2. Yes, she is very trim but not grossly underweight by any stretch of the imagination. What do short women do? Wear negative sizes? I truly have no idea how that works, unless it is reverting to the childrens department.

So I'm not the only one? I'm 166 pounds and am wearing small/medium tops. I'm also down to size 13/14 in pants. And I'm five foot zero!

The size thing does not make sense to me.  I am almost 5'2" & weigh 135-140.  My size is 12 petite and I wear medium to small tops. I was often discouraged to see others way heavier and smaller sizes than me.  I am over it and happy not to be 1x anymore.  I would probably be a size smaller if I had plastics on my abdomen but that is not going to happen.  I did notice that my shape is different.  I still have my boobs though a little smaller.  I tried on my wedding dress when I was cleaning out my closets.   I was at least 15 lbs heavier 43 years ago and my dress is too tight in the chest!  I guess being older has shifted things around. I am certainly happier with my body shape than I was before this surgery!

I find this very weird and annoying too but although I don't seem to be losing many pounds but I have lost 2" on my waist and under my boobs and on each thigh!  Go figure!  I just have to stop stepping on that damn scale!
