Was just wondering if anyone has tried the Unjury chicken soup and what they thought about it.

It absolutely saved me during my clear liquids phase post-op.  It takes a bit of a learning curve to learn how hot is too hot, because the stuff will curdle if it gets above 140 degrees or so.

Now that I'm back on a 'regular' diet, I add the unjury to brothy soups, mashed cauliflower, even mac and cheese type stuff.  I also still drink it straight and warm sometimes.  It's pretty sodium-filled, but it tastes good.  I also like Protidiet chicken soup and chicken noodle soup protein, though they don't pack quite as much protein as the UNjury

Mashed cauliflower is something I must definitely give a try.  I have heard about it but have never tried it.  I've heard some people say they like it better than mashed potatoes.

Loved it and so did my husband.  You just have to be careful about the temp of the water and how fast you heat it up.  Like any other protein, it can be clumpy and lumpy if you don't do it right.

I think it's great too!!  I use a thermometer to check the temp of the water before I add the powder.  that way it never clumps.

Thanks guys, you've helped me make up my mind!  It sounds like something I would love so I think I might just have to give it a try!

Sweets aren't what made me fat.  Savory and salty made me fat.  I say this because it was REALLY hard for me to live off chocolate protein shakes because I have no sweet tooth!  So, I can serve as a huge shout out to Unjury Chicken Soup.  I ate it every day and still love it.

I bought this before my surgery and I loved it. Great taste. But, I couldn't handle it after surgery. Had to give it away. I gagged just thinking about it. Everyone is different. Just don't buy too much.

That soup is the only reason I made it through preop diet! As someone said above - I still add it to things. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and I add the soup to refried beans when I puree them etc. it's a good way to get that protein in!
