VSG on 10/27/14 with

NSV!!! I just got my lab results back from my 6 week check up, and without fasting, my cholesterol and triglyceride levels have dropped significantly from my pre-surgery levels in September: Cholesterol: 281 to 212 (LDL: 165 to 133; HDL: 41 to 55) Triglycerides: 307 to 188! They should be better next time with fasting. My iron levels are fine, and all other results were normal! Amazing!!!

Congrats! I know how you feel, 2 1/2 weeks after surgery they took me of BP meds now I'm working towards getting of the triglyceride meds. Hopefully in Jan when I go to my Endocrinologist.

That is so awesome! That is one NSV I want, that and to be off BP meds and fix the sleep apnea. I'm so happy for you!

My triglycerides have been over 400 since 2012. I have had high cholesterol since as long as I can remember. This is the lowest my cholesterol has been in decades. And in just 33 pounds, I've already almost gotten it down to normal!

That's the main reason I did this. I have heart disease in my family, and I knew that if I didn't lose the weight, I'd probably die in my 60's. Here's hoping my sleeve extends my life at least 10+ years!
