Finishing day 7 of 21 day liquid diet!
I am amazed to say I feel good. I have lost 10 pounds so far. I had cut down on calories before starting and I know that helped. I have broth once or twice a day and I've have had some sugar free jello, the protein shakes 5 or 6 times a day depending on the calorie count. Staying between 700-1000 calories. Still can't drink enough water/crystal light. Good luck on your journey, Almita!
You can do it, it sounds like you have figured it out! I started my pre-op liquid diet over Thanksgiving, which my husband and I had 2 weeks earlier. It is a difficult time, the holidays that is, to do this, but just think: this time next year you'll be so much slimmer, healthier and should be back to "normal"!!! And you can sample the goodies, within reason, and be so much better off. You should be proud of yourself for your diligence and hard work, I am!
Merry Christmas - what a gift to yourself!!!
Good for you Debbie....The pre-op diet truly helps reduce the fat on your liver. And that's so much better for the Dr.s when they have to go in. Like you, I was on the 21 day as well. Dr. told me the day after my surgery that my liver was totally devoid of fat. I'm 7 days post-op and feeling really good. Good luck to you and YES you can make it! Kim
My pre-op liquid diet will be 4 weeks (ugh). I keep reading that part is the worst, but I have hope given your positive attitude. I'm sure you set yourself up for success too in that you were already reducing calories, etc. Congrats!! You can do this!
