Before surgery... snacking was two PB&J sandwiches. Each sandwich had about double to triple the normal amount of peanut butter on it.

Post surgery... snacking is half a teaspoon of peanut butter or a 2% cheese cheese stick.

22 lbs to my goal!

Fun!!!!

Before Surgery: Evening snacking was 3 cheese sticks, a cup of yogurt, a granola bar oops better stop.

Post Surgery:  Not interested, but I better drink some more liquids.

Fun game :)

Pre surgery -- snacking was microwave popcorn w/ butter or a large bag of doritos

Post surgery -- brussel sprouts.

My bro was like "It's very weird that it is 9:30 pm and you are making brussel sprouts"  Whatever -- its better than diving into a carb / fat bomb!

Before Surgery: evening snacking would include chips and dip and Ritz crackers with spray cheese. Ugh!

Post surgery: snacks include dannon lite & fit Greek yogurt or low fat string cheese. Snacks are now used to get in the rest of my protein.

Much better :)

I have a hard time thinking of these things as cheating.  And I keep reading this as "peanut butter on a cheese stick."  Eeew ;)

I figured that after I read it a few times and got my eyes straight :)

So on the topi****ep thinking that I gorged on candy over Christmas but, in reality, I only had 5-10 pieces (reeses minis or almond hershey kisses) a day.  Pre-op... gorging would have been much, much, much more.  It's really interesting how things change.

Pre-surgery: pint of ice cream, huge bowl of popcorn with butter, then some sugar free Popsicles "to be good."

post-surgery: I'm not quite two weeks out yet, so all my tiny meals are the same size and geared toward protein. But I went to a restaurant for the first time today. Mexican. I had about 1/3 cup refried beans and then licked a tortilla chip. It was anticlimactic.
