Hello I am going to see My Dr. On Jan. 6th.  and to date I have lost 87 pounds since July 2014 (VSG Surgery)...

I am wondering if this is the normal loss for any of you?  I know each individual is different...

I have been doing everything correct but exercise...I have knee and back problems...Exercise is painful at times...But getting better...

Really could use some feedback please...

P.s... I am feeling GREAT!!!

87 pounds in 6 months seems pretty awesome to me. That's an average of almost 15 pounds a month!

Are you worried that your surgeon will be upset or disappointed with you?

No not really...

I just want to do the best that I can do... This is all I have done without exercise...

Just now I feel like I am ready to exercise...My knees and back have been a source of pain for me.. I feel like I am ready...

I saw on a post where several had lost 100 pounds in 6 months and I was like, oh my!!... I may not be on target??  But I am very blessed to be where I am now...

I feel Great... Thank you for responding...

There are a lot of low-impact exercises you could do even with knee and back problems.  Are you seeing a physical therapist by any chance?  That could help a lot!  Joining a pool to swim would be grea****er aerobics too.  There's also something called "chair yoga" that is great for people with mobility issues.

There really isn't a "target" to be on.  We all lose at different rates based on where we start, where we need to get, and how our own specific bodies work.

Sounds good to me! You are averaging about 4 lbs a week if my math works. Pretty decent rate of loss. Keep on trucking! You are almost half way to your goal!

I think 87 pounds in six months is awesome!  Every person is different, different metabolisms, different height, etc.  87 pounds is a great weigh loss.

The scale is moving in the right direction and you are doing your best. Personally I think you ROCK I averaged 7lbs a month. You are doing great!

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.
