I came in to the ER after having horrible abdominal pain on Friday.. after lots of tests, they confirmed I had gallstones & my liver enzymes were elevated..so I was admitted.

Tomorrow I'm scheduled to have my gallbladder removed..

wish me luck! :'(

I had mine removed in 2008 and never looked back! The last attack sent me to the ER due to the pain and I had it removed days later. You won't miss it, I promise!

Good luck and speedy healing!

I had my galblader removed when i was 21. Mine had acctualy released a stone that got stuck in my pancrease duct which blocked the digestive juices from being released. I was in the hospital for 10 days and they had to wait another month for all the inflammation to go away. That was horrible so I understand how bad it is to have to go through that. Good luck.

I've had mine removed too, long before WLS. I had symptoms during pregnancy (a frequent occurrence apparently) and when my daughter was 4 months old, I had another attack. Before she was 6 months old, I had my gallbladder removed.

The recovery from gallbladder surgery was easier than the recovery from WLS so I am sure you'll be good. And in a whole lot less pain! Wishing you luck.

Good luck!  So many people need gallbladder surgery post-loss, so you're in good company at least :)
