I am supposed to see the doctor again tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what I should do to fix this high urea in my blood?
I'm not sure talk to your doctor but keep us posted... I work at a dialysis center and I asked one of the nurses and they said they needed more info on your labs, but maybe b/c you have consumed to much protein and not enough water but it should be able to be fixed. Good Luck I know that sucks worrying about that.
I hope you get some good answers from your doctor tomorrow!

You need to drink more water, much more, every day.
Extra urea is a perfectly normal result of a high protein diet. Only extra water can get rid of it. It is one of the reasons we are told to drink so much.
It doesn't matter how much you have been drinking, even if it is the amount you were told to drink. You need more.

Good thing you had blood work recently! Goes to show that we all need bloodwork done on a regular basis to rule out problems like this. Good luck to you tomorrow and feel better!
