3 months out from getting sleeved
Hi losers!
Today marks 3 months post surgery. I am down 43.5 lbs since surgery date with a total of 53.5 since I began my week long liquid diet before surgery.
Reflections:
I try very hard not to compare my weight loss with others who may be losing faster than me.
I try very hard not to focus on the fact that my hair began to thin noticeably in the second month, so much that I had to cut off my very long hair and now I have a bob. I did have a good cry in the car after the cut.
I try to focus on the fact that I have gone from a 3x to a 1x in a mere 3 months! Oh darn, I had to spend a little money on cute clothes that fit.
I have my very first personal trainer appointment next Tuesday. I made a promise to myself that when I got to my first 50lb milestone, I would make the money happen to began a strength program with a trainer.
Whoever the hilarious person on our boards was that mentioned substituting "flappy" with the Pharrell "happy" song is a genius and it has become my reality.
I take stairs now without flinching.
I say, "let's go a little further" when walking.
I sleep (soundly) without snoring.
I feel more capable, more useful, and more agile than I have in years.
A huge thank you to everyone who posts on this board. You are a daily and sometimes hourly inspiration for me.
