Trying not to eat my feelings...
I'm exhausted from working long hours and having to sleep over at my hospital because of the blizzard. Then, through all of this, my sick cat takes a turn for the worse at home. Unfortunately he died before I was able to get home.
He was my best friend of 18 years, and needless to say I am a bit beside myself. I'm exhausted emotionally and physically from shoveling feet of snow and crying on and off for hours.
And yesterday was my first surgiversary :-(
Just a little bummed...
I had to say goodbye to my 18 year old cat this morning. The heartache is indescribable. Making it through the day without my friends Ben and Jerry is going to be the biggest challenge I've faced post-op.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

Yes :( Although I think I had it a little easier since I was able to be with her to say goodbye :( My heart really goes out to you for not being there on top of everything. I've been crying all day too.
