I'm not alone...I feel terrible.  The gas pain is awful and gas x doesn't help.  I'm just praying for this to pass.

Gas-x won't help, since the pain isn't in your digestive system.  Walking as much as possible should do the trick, though.

Hang in there, day 2&3 were my worst.  Keep taking the gas x strips and add a heating pad.  Hang in there and let see you day 4.

I was sleeved on January 19th and I felt awful as well. I had extreme gas pain that finally went away day 4. When I came home I had to have drain still in which didn't help. I'm now 1week 2days out and I swear it does get easier. Good luck!

Yes, it's normal. I had band surgery ten years ago. It was "only" day surgery, but I felt like crap for several days. Sleeve surgery is more extensive, so I expect feeling lousy for a while is part of the process.

Absolutely! I wasn't expecting to feel as bad as I did right after VSG surgery. However, I can promise you that it gets better every day. I had my surgery on 1/12, stayed in the hospital 2 nights, instead of 1. Day 2 was by far the worst! you will feel tons better by day 4.

I think it was Gwen who said to me after mine: "you just let a physician knock you unconscious, stab you in the gut a few times, and rip out part of an organ."  Definitely put in perspective for me. :).

What others said...walk, then rest.  You'll get through it.  And sip, sip, sip.  Focus on fluids.
