What do you consider your "start weight"?

Hey y'all!!

I was at the doctor yesterday (for sinus, congestion type thing) and she was like oh by the way congrats on 100 pounds lost! I hadn't expected that. In my mind I've lost 94, because I've always started at my weight from the day I started my pre-op diet. But she was looking at her records from earlier (like the beginning of my 6 month diet and exercise).

So it got me thinking...what do y'all use as your starting weight?

 HW: 275  SW: 267.4 (1st day of pre-op diet)  Pre-op: -16.5lbs  M1:-17.8  M2:-11.9  M3:-12.5   M4:-16.5   M5:-10.5   M6:-5.1

I use my heaviest weight, and diary from that. Helps me remember where I once was and gives myself inspiration.

You have done awesome!

In my opinion my starting weight was the weight my surgeon's office recorded at my consult.  That's what they go off of for every one of my appointments so that's what I go off of too.

Congrats on your 100 lb loss! You're doing awesome!

I use my heaviest recorded weight which just happens to coincide with my first trip to the surgeon in 2014. So that works well for me :)

Kinda have two. One from when I started the pre-op diet (330) but I also remember what I weighed the day before surgery at the hospital too (319.5).

I used to throw around three sets of numbers:  highest weight,  preop diet weight and surgery date.

Now I use my highest weight since that's truly how much weight I've lost.
