What do you consider your "start weight"?
Hey y'all!!
I was at the doctor yesterday (for sinus, congestion type thing) and she was like oh by the way congrats on 100 pounds lost! I hadn't expected that. In my mind I've lost 94, because I've always started at my weight from the day I started my pre-op diet. But she was looking at her records from earlier (like the beginning of my 6 month diet and exercise).
So it got me thinking...what do y'all use as your starting weight?
I use my heaviest recorded weight which just happens to coincide with my first trip to the surgeon in 2014. So that works well for me :)
VSG with Dr. Salameh - 3/13/2014

Age 42 Height 5'4" HW 319 (1/3/2014) SW 293 (3/13/2014) CW 149 (7/16/2017)
Next Goal 145 - normal BMI | Total Weight Lost 170
TrendWeight | Food Blog (sort of functional) | Journal (down for maintenance)
I used to throw around three sets of numbers: highest weight, preop diet weight and surgery date.
Now I use my highest weight since that's truly how much weight I've lost.
