steri strips

When I left the hospital on Wednesday, the nurse told me to remove the tape and gauze 3 days from then but to leave the steri strips on. Well this morning I pulled off the tape and gauze and the strips came off on one of my wounds. It is the one nearest to my bellybutton. The wound didn't bleed so I just put the stripes back on. Is there anything else I need to do?

If it is a little open you could get some tegaderm to keep it dry if that is what your surgeon wants.

Steri strips fall off over time, so if yours fell off, I wouldn't worry.
