Weight loss has slowed down (but that's okay)

I'm 5 1/2 weeks post op and my weight loss has slowed way down. I've only lost 3.2 lbs in the last 3 weeks. Even though it is so frustrating I know it's still a loss. I started full exercise this past week and worked out 5 of the last 7 days. In the past this is the point that I would have given up and gone back to my old habits. BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! This is the best I have felt in a really long time. I know I need to give my body time to adjust to this drastic change. I will keep moving forward and looking forward to my future!!!

Great attitude :D  That's the one that will get you through all the stalls and slow downs you're likely to experience in this process.   You totally got this!

I'm four weeks out and I noticed it as well. But I tell myself all the time a lost a a lost its one step closer to goal. And at least it's down and not a gain. Continue to stay positive and push on. Wtg with all your weight lost already.

Like someone else said...  a loss is a loss.  I, for one, compare my loss to those who have lost tons of weight each month and last month was so disappointed in myself for "only" losing 12 pounds.  (I had my DS on New Year's Eve)  My provider told me I was doing awesome!  If you really think about it, healthy weight loss is usually 1-2 pounds a week which equals about 8 pounds for a month.  By losing "only" 12 pounds I'm still above that 8 pounds.  Is it the 20-30 you hear and read about?  No, but we aren't in a race to see how fast we can los it, we are in it for the rest of our lives!  Since I put myself on the pre-surgery diet at the end of Sept, I have hit my 80 pound loss as of today.  Yes, I still have a long way to go, but it's coming off!!  You CAN do it!!
