Maybe you should have posted this in the regular forum in all honesty I rarely check the vsg forum. Anyhow I was the first patient the day of my surgery too, arrived at 6am went back at 7am the rest of the day was a blur. Stay positive, remember your in great hands your surgeon and the OR staff are going to take great care of you, you will be fine and on your way to healing and losing in no time. Good luck on Monday and see you on the other side!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.  You'll do great.  I think its great to be the first patient in the morning.  There is less chance of delays due to other surgeries running long, etc.

My surgery was really easy.  I asked for anti-nausea drugs and they worked great.  I didn't have much pain, and was able to manage it with Tylenol.

I hope you do as well.

best wishes,

Carol

I was the first surgery on a Monday morning as well. I liked it, no chance of delays, surgeon and staff were fresh so I think less chance of mistakes. BTW everything went great and I was up and walking 15 minutes of being brought to my room.

None! In less than 6 months I have lost 192lbs, went from a size 72 pants to 50, went from being a massive couch potato to working out 6 days a week, able to do anything I want. Not worry about fitting into booths, chairs, airplane seats, cars.

What I did was look at before and after pics on OH and other sites.  I think being 1st case of the day is the best position.  The Dr. is fresh, The staff is fresh, no waiting.  You will do fine.  Tell your nurse you are really nervous on the day of surgery and she might be able to give you something.
