I just got sleeved today. I feel great. I was up a few hours after my surgery and don't feel any pain except in my left shoulder when I lie down. I just got to have my first medicine cup of water and it went down fine. I am also cleared for ice chips and can start other clear liquids tomorrow. Hopefully I sleep well tonight!

a hot towel is the best thing for the shoulder pain from gas

and walking helps get rid of the gas

Most stories I hear people have quite a bit of pain so this makes me really happy to read about a good experience!  My last visits are Thursday before submitting for approval from my insurance.  Fingers crossed for approval!

Pain varies wildly from person to person.   I had very little pain.   My wife had more than I but less than others.

Welcome to the loser's bench!

I remember the shoulder pain so well.  It was my right shoulder where the gas seemed to settle.  Hot packs or a heating pad helped enormously with that...as does lots of walking.

Thanks y'all. I feel pretty good! Just sore like I did 1000 crunches! No nausea. Drinking 1 oz every hour. Very impressed with my surgeon and this surgery!
