Great two week post- op today!

So I just had my two week post-op appt. with my surgeon this morning. Everything went very good and they said I am doing great! I am down 12 pounds since surgery and a total of 26 pounds lost since consult and starting this journey. Yesterday I tried on some pants that used to show lumps and bumps on my thighs and I couldn't see it anymore! That was sooo exciting! Even though you know it's happening when it makes a difference in clothing that's the best!

With this appt. comes the next phase on my journey. I have now graduated to pureed. My surgeon told me that by the time I see him in a month I should have progressed my way up to eating small bites of food, just no raw veggies or steak. It's so hard to imagine after being on liquids for two weeks. I am excited for this next phase but this also means that I get (have to) return to work. Just when I was really starting to enjoy being at home.

Anyway I just wanted to share my good news and also ask if you all have any advise in advancing to purees and returning to work. Thank you to all who take the time to post/share on here. This forum is great and has really helped me so far!

You all rock!

Congratulations! You have done a good job. I especially like hearing no lumps or bumps show through your pants. I go in for my surgery next Monday, but lost 65 pounds so far thru the 6 month required nutrition classes. My thighs look like an English bulldog! I can't imagine when I get my remaining 80 some pounds off...lol!

Lol... I'm thinking the same thing. It really didn't seem like there was much change in them until I tried on some work clothes. Best of luck to you it sounds like you are already doing terrifi****ep it up!

I don't have any words of wisdom on purees as I didn't have to go through all that (different plan than most). But I wanted to say congrats on a great first two weeks!

On returning to work - as long as you have a desk job you'll probably be just fine. I went back to my desk job 10 days after surgery and had no issues. A little tired the first couple days by 5:00 p.m. but quickly got over that.

Good luck!
