Chucks and a reflective nsv

Had a snow day today- woot woot! Spent some time at the local mall buying Converse shoes. I wear these every day to work, as my kiddos just love them. I realized this morning that when I was at my heaviest I couldn't wear them- my foot was too wide. I went decades without wearing them as a result. My shoe size dropped from a 12 wide to a 10.5- and no longer wide. Chucks run narrow, so I can wear them again. And it is obvious. I have a minimum of 20 pair sitting in the closet now (just added 6 pair today so probably higher). Most women post here about being able to wear tall boots again- me? I am happy to wear my all time favorite sneakers again!

Even with all my weight loss I am unable to wear Converse. Sad, sad, sad.... I'm still an EE width. Converse are just too narrow.

That is a bummer. Have you ever tried the "con" style? They run a little wider... it will say con on the back of the heel in the rubber part.

I have the New Balance headquarters near me, and they have great deals, and the EEEE widths I need. Most comfortable shoes ever.

New Balance was my brand of choice when I wore a wide. There is something about how the toe box part is made that was a great fit for a wider foot. No good deals on them though- used to get soaked because of the size I needed. 12W for women is scarce.

Super cool NSV! I love Converse shoes. I haven't worn them since high school but I am hoping to get back into them in the future. Used to have bubble gum pink high tops I adored and a banana yellow low top pair. I gave them away years ago so I'll have an excused to spend money (like I ever need an excuse lol) when my chubby feet are less chubby. :)

Love shopping for them :)  I have an outlet converse store 2 miles from my house, so I can always find a great deal. Picked up 6 pair today, half were classic half were Jack Purcell and under $100 total.

It's so interesting to see where people gained and lost weight! My foot was a 10 M and it still is! Thanks goodness as I have quite the shoe collection! I do love chucks too!! I have more than a few pairs! ;)

Did you have a snow day yesterday too? It took me forever to get to work today.
