Well today is the day...the first day of my new life

Surgery in just a few hours. My son is here with me in Tijuana...hope Dr Garcia has a good breakfast lol! I've had all kinds of crazy emotions over this, but thanks to all the wonderful posts, feedback and anecdotes from these forums and youtube,  I know I've made the right decision. Thanks to my wonderful friend who did this in the new year and made this ok to even consider...I owe it all to you. ??

I took my measurements last night and was shocked. This excess weght is NOT who i am. I am considered at "high risk" for health issues...Great reality check. I need this for my life. I am tremendously grateful to my REAL body underneath for keeping me healthy despite what I have done to it. This is like a rehab of sorts and I am making amends; things are about to get real. 

Goodbye 294...I will never see you again...thanks for the (past) experience and for teaching me so much about myself. Lessons have been learned, moving on.

I am so excited for you! Your post really resonated with me. For me, YOU are that inspiration. I am having my surgery with Dr. Garcia in 12 days. I am currently (and begrudgingly) on the pre-op diet :)
