Waiting for a date! -Surgery, not a romantic one:)

I know this has SO many factors that can affect the wait times, but how long was it from the time you decided to have VSG to the time you got into the OR?

A little over 2 months

a little less than 6 months....but I had to have my lap band removed and then wait 3 months for the next surgery....at first it seemed like forever, but the time flew by so quickly I was amazed!

I had an insurance requirement of 6 months. I started in April and my surgery date is 10/12.

Almost there! Do you have to do the 2 week pre-op diet as well? Someone commented that they didn't have to do that, and I thought that was a standard practice for all VSG.

19 days...and that was because I had a vacation in there too. Had surgery yesterday in a private hospital in Mexico. Couldn't be happier. Did 10 days of preop.

Two months.  Very fortunate that the only insurance requirement was having procedure done at a "Center of Excellence" in Boston, and completing all the hospital's requirements.  Only 2 days of pre-op diet required.  Surgery date - 10/12/2016 - Thirteen days to go!!!!!

That is awesome! You must be so excited! I don't even have a date yet and I am so pumped to get it done.How come you only had to do a 2 day diet? 

My insurance doesn't have a pre-op weight loss requirement.  I've lost 20 pounds since 8/1, so I guess my surgeon feels that the 2 days of clear liquids if adequate. 

The clock is ticking......... 8 days from tomorrow!!!!
