At Grim's suggestion, I talked to my doc about my persistent post-op orthostatic hypertension and, today, I saw a cardiologist.  I got to have an ultrasound on my heart, which was exciting, and I get one on my leg veins next week.  He also advised me to get more salt in my diet.  That's interesting considering I've never been one to shun salt in the first place!

1: protein shake
2: wawa caesar wrap (this is becoming my go to lunch on days when I'm running around to tons of appointments... I eat about 2/3 of it and toss the rest.  Yum.)
3: chicken curry

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: none today due to scheduling

How about you?

I'm hanging in there with the diet, but last night I had some serious anxiety and wound up getting up and eating nuts.  Its easy to blow a whole day's efforts with a mid-night snack.  I need better ways to self-comfort, but sometimes its just too much to bear.

Breakfast - salmon

Lunch - Mexican casserole with spaghetti squash - another yummy recipe from my new cookbook

Dinner - pork and caggage stir fry

snack - Dijon lime chicken

water and vitamins - on track

exercise - not so much

So today has not been a typical dietary day for me and not ideal, though not totally horrible either:

Breakfast: 5 am.: Cup of coffee with skim milk.

Half a protien drink.

Snack:  10 am.:  About 5 almonds.    Water.

Lunch: 12:20 pm.  About one fourth of a chef salad.    Perhaps even less than one fourth and very very minimal dipping of veggies into dressing.  One bite of garlic bread.  Really, just one bite.

Snack 3:45    a piece of danish bleu cheese.  This has been a craving stalking me for days, no weeks.   My son, tasted it and said, "really mom..you are gonna treat your self with this!!! it tastes like sweaty socks missed with erasers...hmmm...never thought of it like that.

Dinner: have not had yet.  Plan is to either have steamed shrimp with lemon....or chicken with veggies in half a tortilla.

O.k. guys, just being honest....I know I would not really make any dietician proud today...but not ashamed either.
