And today it's back to real life.  Even though I felt like I was faking it most of the time, I still managed to have a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. My mom was here from Thursday through Sunday. We watched The Martian and Zootopia, we saw Fantastic Beasts and Moana, we climbed a lot of walls at ClimbZone, we laughed a ton, we cried a little, we scattered the last of my dad's ashes, we played board games, we went on long walks, we ate entirely too much delicious food, we planned our winter holiday, we got mom set up with Audible on her phone, and we figured out my January visit in order to talk with her lawyer. I also "gained" 5 pounds - gained is in quotation marks because this is the sort of weight that comes off quickly.

This morning I hurt all over from yesterday's climbing, but it was a blast.  Not only did I have a GREAT time climbing, it was pretty freaking awesome to see my 73 year old mom be fearless and climb for the first time in her life.  She's amazing.  I want to be like her when I grow up :D

Fifteen days left in the term for me.  Four exams, one quiz, one "day in the life" project that is causing me a lot of grief, and then I'm FINISHED for the term.  Can't wait.  :)

1: protein shake, small slice of coffee cake
2: quest bar while out
3: maple balsamic tempeh bowls with pumpkin rice (looking forward to something lighter after all the heaviness of the past 4 days)

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: a well earned rest day

How about you?  Happy Monday!

Epic fail on my end over the long weekend. So ashamed. But, not stopping me from continuing the badness. Thanksgiving was a bust because it wasn't my normal holiday with my family. I went with my boyfriends. I semi despise the taste of turkey so, I drowned out the taste with fixins....arg.

B shake

L 1/2 can of  tuna mixed with hard boiled egg (with some celery and carrots chopped up), in a half of a red pepper, 1 string cheese

D shake and a yogurt

S if needed, oatmeal 'bar" chunk, string cheese if needed

Water on track!

Exercise, so freaking mad at myself, I hope to get in T25 even though I am working a 12 hour day. I tried to wake up at 530am but, my body said to stfu. sigh lol

My body was also super displeased when my alarm went off.  I hurt all over from wall climbing yesterday!  But, ugh, life goes on, eh?  We can do this.

It is tough..

Call the weekend "a reset weekend" and smile... Often if I had days like that - then went back on track - not only did I lose all the "regain" very fast but also a few more lbs. As if my body needs a couple of days or extra calories... Just as long as I was not doing it too often...

As for the exercise - study shows that getting enough sleep is much better for losing weight than exercise...

Hopefully you can do both in the next few days. Get enough sleep and get exercise. Moving is good.

That is really good to remeber...sleep is as if not more important than exercise. I have to get up at 4:30 to exercise and I haven't been able to lately. I need to get to bed earlier.

The fitbit has the ability to set a bedtime, wakeup time, sleep goal and REMINDER.  So every night around 7:30 I get a little message that says, time to get ready for bed.  LOVE IT!  And it tells me how good of sleep I'm getting too.  I love this thing.  And the fit*****arge 2 is much better than my old charge.  Much more accurate, or at least the data is more encouraging!

For your soup, I despise cilantro, but what are those wontons? Where do you purchase them or did you make them?
