At goal!

Highest weight: 226lbs.  Pre-op weight: 193lbs.  Today's weight: 140lbs.  I'm at goal baby!  GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!

I have been SO FREAKIN' LUCKY.  I had a fantastic surgeon...he made this sleeve NICE AND TIGHT.  I had absolutely no post-op complications (other than the dry heaves right after the surgery...oh wow those were bad.)  The weight pretty much fell off at a steady pace.  I did have the dreaded three week stall, but all of you nice folks here helped me understand what that was, and that it was temporary.  I am losing a lot of hair...but what the hell.  I will also never enjoy a "real" meal again, but again, what the hell.  There's a price to pay for everything.  I had fifty years to eat whatever the hell I wanted to, and all that gave me was fleeting pleasure, and obesity.  I'll take being a healthy weight and measuring out my measly 3oz of protein (all I can handle at any one time) 3x daily!

For those of you still losing...YOU WILL GET THERE.  Eat what you are supposed to, and nothing more.  No carbs!  Carbs bad!  Take your supplements religiously.  Exercise when you feel ready to.

For those considering this surgery...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  I wish I had done this YEARS ago.

Congrats!! Now the hard part begins. Stick around here and continue sharing. Read all the regain stories and learn from them. Do not ever think you are "cured". This is a fight we must continue to fight every day.

Congratulations!

I enjoy "real" meals every day.  I've just changed my definition of "real."  I feel like I eat very similarly to how my thin/normal-weighted friends eat.  So I've come to believe that my old real was actually "real for a SMO person."
