Ladies - do you feel more restricted during your period?

Hi all!

I had the sleeve back in Dec 2011. Since then, I've gained weight back (yay losing my job, moving across the world, getting settled in, and having my weightlifting equipment stolen!). I've put on about 40lbs in the last two years, and I'm trying to get back on track.

That being said, does anyone feel extreme restriction during their period? Right before or after? I hadn't noticed it before, but the last week or so I've been unable to eat much like the way I was post op. I'm not complaining, but it is just really odd. Could it be due to the fact that before that I was sick with the flu and bronchitis for two weeks, so I barely ate much then and now it shrank back up and I'm finally noticing it now?

Thanks for your feedback!

I don't notice this!  If it continues, I'd definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I eat more the week before, but during way less than normal. I also think being sick has kicked up your restriction a bit. Just a guess of course.

I'm way past menopause, but I have days now and then when it's hard to eat enough. My stomach sometimes just isn't very interested in food. One or two bites is all I can manage. I would guess (but check with your surgeon) that your sleeve's finicky behavior may have more to do with stress than with hormones.

Thanks so much for your feedback, everyone!

I was feeling a bit like I was the crazy one. I haven't been under stress like this in a long time, so I guess I never had to deal with this post-op... the stress makes much more sense than the period component. That's the only thing I could put together!

Much love and happy holidays from Saudi Arabia!
