Anyone develop carb intolerances years out?

About three years out I started slipping and eating whatever (pro-tip: Don't). Before I was maintaining a healthy weight, but could indulge carbs every so often and be okay. But after getting back into some bad habits (rice, pizza, pasta, etc) I ended up with severe reflux, nausea and cramps to the point where I started having to take Zantac at night. It got rid of the reflux and I recalibrated my eating habits back to something sane and started losing again. Now, almost a year later, it seems I can't seem to tolerate ANY carbs whatsoever a lot of the time, rice, wheat etc, even if it's a reasonable amount and eaten with protein. Meat and cheese and yogurt seem to be the only thing I can handle without dumping them out at this point. I'm really frustrated and wondering what the hell went wrong. Seeing a bariatric specialist next week *fingers crossed*

I don't really have much advice as I haven't developed a carb intolerance & I'm approaching 3 years. Maybe you developed a gluten intolerance? Maybe the refined carbs is what's causing your problems? Maybe its just too many carbs at 1 time & you need to eat more protein with your meals.

Either way hope you get some answers soon at the Drs.

Yeah, the more we become carb-heavy, the worse the carb intolerance gets.

You know the things you can eat that make you feel good, and that are also good for your weight. You really do need to just focus on eating those things. It may not be what you want, but it is what you need.
