premier protein juice

So, I went to Sams Club this weekend and bought a new premier protein product. It is like gatorade and is 90 calories, no sugar and is 20grams of protein. Sat out on the deck and had one with ice and it was pretty good.

Has anyone tried it yet? Also, went to walmart and they had these mini popsicle ice trays that I thought would be great for my protein smoothies. I am trying my best to get into the WLS lifestyle before surgery

Don't stock up on too many protein drinks just yet. Many people find that their tastes change completely after surgery, so something that you liked pre-op will taste gross afterwards.

So true about how your tastes can change after surgery. I was really into the caramel flavor of the pre-made Premier Protein shakes before surgery. Now after, the only flavor I can handle is chocolate (I'm drinking one now!). I had bought a bunch as they don't sell caramel at Costco, and I bought from the Premier Protein site directly. Now they are collecting dust in my garage.

I feel like the majority of us can only stomach chocolate after surgery. I hated every chocolate shake pre-op and drank only vanilla. Now I can't stomach vanilla and like only chocolate.

About 3-4 days post op I freaked over not being able to stomach creamy shakes and bought $70 worth of "juice like" protein drinks, which were disgusting and now are gathering dust in my pantry. I just contemplated this morning if I might be able to stick them in a garage sale this summer.

I like the premier protein clear drinks...but I have to dilute mine in half with water because they are so sweet..very similar to the Atkins Lift drinks.

Oh nice!

That first month out of surgery I relied on Isopure Plus- similar to what you describe. Regular protein shakes sat too heavy that first month, so this version was really helpful. Due to stellar stats, I still use products like this at time to help ensure I hit protein targets. I will have to look for it- did not realize they had a product like that. Is it a powder or ready to drink?

Must be really new. I never heard of Premier Protein Juice. Does it have whey protein?

I just checked premier protein's website. It is not on there. I am wondering if it is a different brand.

I haven't seen it yet. Thanks for the info. I will look into it as I still do protein drinks from time to time.

It is new. They were giving samples at Sams Club. I liked it so I bought some. I hope it is not too early, but I am trying to get used to what I may be drinking post op. I have been doing high protein with homemade shakes and protein powder and I have been trying the premier shakes just to get semi used to it. So far since January I have lost 21 pounds, following what the dietician suggests. Did you start early getting into the way you will be eating post op?
