Today is Thursday which means it's my day to spend on campus. Two weeks (omg) left in the term. Five exams and one powerpoint left! In the homestretch. One of my friends is presenting a self defense workshop on campus today and I'm looking forward to attending that in the middle of the day. It'll be a nice break from studying :)

1: protein shake
2: tofu
3: protein bar or leftover tilapia from last night depending on when/where I am when I need to eat

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: lots of walking around campus to hang signs - I can't run right now because of PAIN from stupid kidney stone

Huge storm here yesterday, giving me a massive pressure headache. Still cloudy and more rain coming but at least the headache is gone! Tomorrow I go see my surgeon for my 6-month follow up; I know he'll be happy about my progress, as am I!

I would always get super nervous before my surgeon follow ups, which was so weird because it's not like my surgeon has ever been anything but awesome. But I always worried "this will be the time when he tells me I'm failing!!" Sometimes my brain is not my friend, since he's always 100% enthusiastic about my progress. Even at my 3-year follow up!

I hope it goes really well for you too.

I am a little nervous since this is the first time I'm seeing him since surgery. The 1 week and 1 month appts were with the PA. I'm only 36 pounds away from my goal, which he agreed with, so he should be pretty pleased I think. Fingers crossed!!

P.S. He is going to be surprised that I haven't had my hysterectomy yet, but that's a whole other kettle of fish!! lol

My surgeon never really gave me a goal but once mumbled something about 180 so I sort of claimed that as his goal for me. It wasn't my goal for me. And it really screwed with my head when he told me I'd reached his goal for me - my brain sort of did this "okay, I'm done now." When clearly I was NOT ready to be done.

I'm sure your surgeon will be thrilled with you :D

Today is my first official leg day. Send prayers! I was not back down to my lowest this morning but I was close. I sent illogical brain back to her hiding place for the time being. It's going to be 80 degrees here today! I'm sad to be stuck at work. I got to ride my bike to work yesterday and today though.

I was at a party on Sunday and someone brought home-cured salmon. It was SO GOOD. I definitely need to do this myself at some point.

Got almost 8 hours of sleep last night, but I want more. Today is my Friday, so I'll get in a good aerobic workout.

Yesterdays #'s: Calories-1168, Fat-46.2g, Fiber-5g, Carbs-55.1g, Sodium-2359.8mg, Protein-130.5g, Water-93.9 fl oz. Daily Calorie Composition: 19% from carbs, 36% from fat and 45% from protein.

AM/B: Latté with ON white chocolate protein and SF peppermint Torani

Trying to get back on track today. Seeing the orthopedist tomorrow for a steroid shot to help my knee out. Hope it helps enough to make walking a little less painful at the moment.

What's going on with your knee? I hope the shot helps - my advice, if you haven't had a shot before, is to make sure to ice it as soon as you get back home. The shot can hurt temporarily and ice will help with that!
