Finally at the beginning...

I am at the very beginning of my weight loss journey. My health insurance (after many years) has finally decided the cover weight loss procedures. I have done a lot of reading about different procedures and have done even more on the surgeons approved by the insurance. I think I have finally decided where I want to go. I have done their online seminar (since they are more than 3 hours from my home) and today called and spoke with someone in their office. I am scheduled for a consultation on 6/12 and on the same day I will have visits with the psych, dietician and exercise physiologist so I can proceed with the required 3 month supervised diet.

I am excited and scared all at the same time. This has been so very long in coming...I am looking forward to feeling better. Reading the posts you have shared have been an encouragement to me. I am fairly certain the the sleeve is the procedure for me. I have seen the complications caused by malnutrition from the RNY so I don't really want to go that direction. I look forward to sharing the exciting transformation of my life with you all.
