Favorite High Protein Easy Breakfast?

Hi all!

I'm back to teaching in a week and need some ideas for quick, high protein breakfasts. I am still at a point where I HATE protein drinks (though I'll make my own with cottage cheese). I love eggs, but it seems like they aren't high enough in protein to make a decent meal when you are at 2-3oz and 3 meals a day.

I'm about 6.5 weeks out. Thanks!

What about greek yogurt with protein powder stirred in? Beats the heck out of protein shakes! Those breakfast egg muffins are great as well--eggs, bacon or whatever meat, cheese--bake a bunch and pop them in the freezer; nuke in the morning...easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!

Those egg muffins sound good! I'm going to have to dig up some protein info on them. Thanks!

My favorite breakfast is caramel premier protein as creamer in coffee :)

I see a lot of people doing this! Can you taste the "protein flavor"?

You can add just a splash of protein to strong coffee and not taste the protein much. I switch to decaf or chai tea after my first cup and usually end up drinking most of a protein shake by the end of the day.

The coffee really minimizes the protein taste. Try it!

Meat. I sous vide a variety of proteins, and so it is just a super quick heat up in a pan. Chicken breasts, steaks... pretty much anything. I also teach so I hear you on the simple protein packed breakfast. In the colder months I use chocolate protein powder in my coffee- makes a very nice mocha coffee and helps to switch things up!

I also do smoothies, but without any of the high-calorie junk other than some fruit. A cup of greens, a cup of plain ff greek yogurt, a cup of frozen strawberries, unsweetened milk or crystal light, and ice cubes. Makes enough for 2 people. I sweeten it with liquid stevia. You could also toss some protein powder in this if needed, my daughter likes it with vanilla.

I do either two slices of bacon and two eggs or 4 slices of bacon or 4 oz of sausage. I am 11 months out at this point you can back down what I do in that you are so fresh out. If I am on the road I swing by McDonald's and I pick up a morning Mac without the muffin. It is two sausage patties, egg and cheese. It is all protein that way.
