This surgery got here quick, Gwen. Excited for you.

I don't have a lot of plans for the weekend. We're going to a minor league baseball game on Saturday and there will be preseason football on this weekend too. Whoo! I have some studying to do for a new role I'm taking on at work. Not looking forward to it, but it's pretty meaningful to my future, so just gotta do it.

My weight has continued creeping down this week. 19 lbs to goal!

B: coffee and yogurt

L: chicken thigh and couple bites of salad

D: more chicken I guess, unless I can talk myself into going out or shopping.

S: yogurt

That's so awesome, Gwen!! How exciting for you! Also, super smart idea cooking ahead. I would have never thought to do that in the flurry of getting crap ready.

I have tomorrow off. I should clean my apartment. I will think I should clean my apartment, and then probably sleep. A lot.

IF till 12p today. My protein was low yesterday and so I feel bleh. I didn't feel like eating much in general.

M1: Protein shake (~30g)

M2: Egg & ham "McMuffin" (just wrapped in lettuce).

M3: 1/2c plain greek yogurt - my most original meal yet! (sarcasm)

M4: I have some chicken meatballs so might defrost and cook those if I'm still hungry/need protein.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I pretty much cook in bulk 2 weeks prior to every surgery. I've got lots of freezer space, though! I make things that are easy to stick in the freezer or slow cooker and that way I know that I won't need to cook and my family won't need to rely on take out :)

Good morning - Happy Friday!

A couple of smokers I see, I like to use the smoker as well. I have Ribs and Chicken down to a science, need pointers on Butts and Brisket. I am using the smoker to make smoked Jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon this weekend, they are always a hit.

Hiking on Monday, we live near the Adirondack Mountains in NY and my wife and I decided last year to try to climb the 46 peaks that are over 4000'. If one can complete the peaks with documentation, you can become and Adirondack 46'er. The Mountains are beautiful, though too many people seem to be hiking and leaving too much behind. ( trash). I dont like that and think more education needs to be available for new hikers.

b- pure protein bar

s - apple pie greek togurt

L - tbone

S - buddig meat'

D - Burrito bowl

e - day off, will get over 10,000 steps though.

Stay healthy my friends, Mike

I have ribs down pat too. I've done one pork butt and it was good, but I think it can be better. So I'm brining it this time. We'll see!

It's pretty awesome you're going for 46'er status! Recently, Jon's brother met a guy who had done all 46 peaks 46 times ea*****luding all of them at least once on a night hike! Yes, that's over 2,000 hikes! It has apparently been a life long passion for him.

I'm headed to my parents out East this afternoon. It's just me and my son going, so I'm looking forward to some major relaxation :)

I'm a bit bummed that I had to come into the office this morning. IT is really annoying me -- oh well I guess that is why they pay us (b/c it's not always fun).

I took yesterday off from the gym b/c I was super tired. Today there wont be time w/ work, airport, dinner in Boston and then a long drive home. I'm going to probably walk some laps in the airport to make sure I get my steps in. I'm not sure why I'm going to do this trip for vacation. I might find a crossfit gym to drop in at, I might just run, or I might just do whatever -- we will for sure swim & kayak a bunch, so it will work out.

Food - gonna be a bit crazy today:

b: fit frappe & coffee

l: airport - prob salad w/ chicken

s: airplane peanuts

d: Italian in Boston :)

e: walking
