Good Morning! Yesterday was a long busy day at work. Marketing opted to put some website upgrades into place and as I'm sure you can guess, they don't call Marketing with problems/questions. They call IT. It was really the worst week of the year they could have implemented the upgrades.

Jon's still in Phoenix until late tonight, so dinner tonight will be the same as last night. I figured out that when you're cooking for a WLS patient plus two kids you could eat the same meal SO many times in a row.

QOTD: What is something about yourself that people might find surprising? I used to be a pit crew for a dirt track racing team before I had my first daughter. We spent every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from May to September at the tracks. We have one locally and two in Ontario, Canada that we'd race at. I was on a team for a 4-cylinder "Bandit" car, but we won a lot of races and took home several track championships. It was still one of the most fun times of my life.

E: I might get in a walk at work today, but I'm not very optimistic about that.

Good morning - i haven't posted much lately - as my life has been insane. My husband was diagnosed with a broken fibula (the small bone in his leg) and the same day the dog herniated a disk in his back - and ended with the emergency surgery and has to be on crate rest for 6 weeks. This dog has never been in a crate. He is recovering well (the husband is fine too, lol) but i'm stressed to the max. This is on the tail end of my father having 2 heart attacks and passing away in June (and he lived with me). Somehow, I am maintaining my 10 lbs over goal weight - not happy about that, but it's still a reasonable weight.

I haven't shopped for food in weeks, -peapod and the cleaners are coming today - woo hoo

B: idk, nothing in the house

L: Leftover chicken basil (Thai)

D: grilled chicken and farm corn, tomato from the garden

E: doubtful - with the infirmary going on here, I have barely left the house except to go to work

V: good

Good morning... it was a rough night in our house, as we had thunderstorms that freaked out our dogs. So I'm not as well-rested as I would like to be today.

QOTD: I was trained in classical ballet as a child/teen and have a degree in modern dance. It's easier for people to believe now, because I am more the weight that I was when I was dancing, but when I was over 200 pounds it was a stretch!

B: Coffee with sugar-free Torani chocolate syrup and 2% Fairlife milk on the way to work, then a Siggi's blueberry yogurt

S: Quest bar (flavor TBD)

L: Caprese salad--fresh mozzarella, tomato, croutons, and Bolthouse balsamic over mixed greens

S: Mixed nuts with lower-sugar dried cranberries, 1/2 c. cantaloupe

D: Chicken fajitas with tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion on a low-carb tortilla, topped with colby-jack cheese, refried beans on the side. I may skip the tortilla, but we'll see how hungry I'm feeling.

S: Probably another Quest bar

E: Hopefully a walk with the dogs this evening.

Accountability: I went over my allotted calories yesterday by eating an extra half of a Quest bar on my way home from the store and ending up not taking the dogs for a walk last night.

Good morning. Finally down a pound. It sure is going slow now, but that's ok as long as it's generally headed in the right direction.

QOTD: I used to be a fantasy football fanatic back in the day before it got super popular. Very few women played. I entered a nation wide contest made up of thousands of players and ended up placing 6th. It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of great people that I'm still friends with to this day. I no longer play fantasy football because it ruined the sport of football for me, and it took an incredible amount of time. I found myself rooting for multiple teams just because of the individual players. So now I'm back to being a regular fan.

B: coffee and yogurt

L: salmon and romaine salad

D: roasted chicken and small salad

S: turkey jerky

Titans. I grew up living in Houston and was an Oilers fan. I moved to Tennessee in '95 and was so excited when my team followed me here shortly after.

Airborne in Plattsburgh converted to dirt for this season. They had been asphalt for at least 10-15 years, they have switched back and forth depending on ownership of the track. I am a big race fan. I used to be a big Nascar fan, once # 3 passed away I lost some interest, is not the same. Very cool you were on a crew.

Evans Mills has been back and forth dirt and asphalt a few times now too! We raced at Cornwall, ON, Brockville, ON and Frogtown on Akwesasne reservation (Now called Mohawk International). We'd also make it occasionally to Lafargeville and Edelweiss also in ON.

I really wish there was a motocross track here and an easier access drag strip. My father used to race motocross professionally (in the late 70's). We've been downstate a couple times to watch some hare scrambles and those are a good time too. My husband rides motorcycle trials as well, so we go over to VT and sometimes to Rhode Island for those.

My step father was a huge Nascar fan (and specifically #3). My step father passed in 2005, so not long after his death. I have never really been a Nascar fan because I like to watch in person and it's way more of a hassle to do that with Nascar!
