Morning! It's Wednesday, we made it halfway through the week! My kettlebell class was awesome, but my yoga class didn't happen because the time we were given for it was wrong. So, I'll not be taking that class and I'm hoping to find a community yoga that works.

I was awake at 4am this morning. Both Jon and I woke up to use the bathroom and I was awake too long and couldn't go back to sleep. We'll see if that means an early bedtime for me tonight!

I'm going to let someone else ask a QOTD because I'm fresh out of ideas this morning.

8 months post-op/Maintenance/136.7lbs

M1: Coffee w/ Premier Protein, Miralax, and HC

M2: Fage Total w/ SF Pudding Mix and Pepitas

M3: Ham and Cheese

M4: White Fish and Veggie

Thanks for all of the suggestions on milk/creamers. I bought 2% Fairlife, and I like it. The extra protein is great too.

I'm going to pass on asking the QOTD because I haven't been around long enough to know what questions have already been asked.

B - 2% milk latte, cottage cheese

L - chicken thigh, butternut squash, Greek yogurt dipping sauce

S - protein shake

D - chicken chili (from the freezer)

E - I still have someone shadowing me at work, so getting extra steps will be hard. I have a church meeting tonight which cuts into my time even more, so I'm not sure that I'm going to meet my goal today.

Water and vitamins on track

I'll ask.

QOTD: What's the most ridiculous comment someone has made to you about your weight loss?

I'm awake. So that's something. I've got a busy day of schooling planned and hopefully I'll be able to be productive - both of the guys are working from home today so... I might seek refuge at the library.

(Ugh, and I just got an email from my mom who had a car accident in her brand new car. She's okay, but feeling super stupid and the car is not okay. It's drivable, but all screwed up. Apparently she hit the gas instead of the brake and hit a pylon thing in the Wawa parking lot.)

QOTD: Since I asked, I should answer! Thankfully I don't have a lot of people who say ridiculous things to me about weight loss in my life, but I get allergy shots and there are two nurses who administer them at my allergists' office. The newer one always feels the need to make comments about my body and I was most boggled when I went in once and she said, "Still losing weight I see?" Like... what the heck? She's also made comments like, "Still wearing skirts?" I mean, obviously? Some people just seem to have a need to say SOMETHING about your body and I just wish I could reply with, "No, really, I'm okay with you shutting up."

1: protein shake
2: leftover flank steak
3: curried chicken salad with peanuts (although I need to get out to a store for this to happen, Art went grocery shopping for me on Monday and couldn't find snow peas or shelled peanuts), tortilla wraps for the guys

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

Stupid comments. I've had them. The most common one is "Wow, you don't look like most people have had WLS. You know some of them look kind of...sick or something".

I've had a million people ask me if I'm done losing. I've had a million people tell me that I'm the only person they know who's been successful with WLS. But, um - I'm only 8 months out. I'm pretty sure most people lose weight this early, but thanks for the vote of confidence!

Then there are the ones that tell you the opposite and say that everyone they know who had it gained it back.

And there's my dad who asked why it would hurt to 'gain 20lbs, I mean you'd still be healthy right?'.

UGH! ONLY WEDNESDAY?!! Come on Friday. I'm broke!!

QOTD: It's been so long since I first had my surgery, I really don't have any recollection. And this time around... Well, lets just say that I have worked in Mental Health the entire time, so I am accustomed to people making inappropriate comments.

My grammy has always been really good like that. She has no filters. One week she would say I look good, the next it was stop losing weight, you're getting too thin.

I am starting to feel much better, mentally. I had my second session with the new therapist yesterday and we were able to start identifying where my coping skills went askew. There is some relief in that. And my insurance has no limit of how much I see her, so that is a blessing as well.

Food is getting better!

AM: SF peppermint white mocha with van PP (van pp does not taste good going through the machine )

B: 1 slice Dave's bread with White Chocolate Wonderful Peanut Butter

S: Second SF Peppermint white mocha with fairlife

L: Cheese sticks with thin pastrami

S: Cheese stick

S: Remainder Van PP

D: TBD

E: Elliptical & Abs

Vites down! Water to go after coffee!
