3 days postop and it stinks. Any VSG'ers able to lend me a kind word?

3 days post op. No energy, moody....this gets better in a month right?

I should be thankful that I haven't had any real complications.

I don't regret my choice, I was moribund, and now I'm on a path to wellness, but wow these first couple days are tough.

I guess I'm just asking for a little reassurance, that a year from now I'll be thrilled about the choice I made.

Any VSG'ers out there can lend me a positive word?

Hey there, I just read your post and wanted to chime in and tell you it definitely will get better. Not to say that there won't be challenges ahead , but the pay off is so worth it. You will begin to look at things in a different way once the weight starts to come off. Believe me if you stick to the eating plan and exercise when your further along the weight will come off, and things will begin to change. Hang in there and do your best to get through this early part of your journey. A few weeks from now you will see things from a different perspective.

I am just about 6 weeks out and would do it all again if I had to. I am finally able to live the life I dreamt of, and it's only going to get better

Focus on healing, and get lots of rest.

It gets better 1st few days are the worst! Your body is healing, & pain meds definitely add to the lethargy. I'm 2 weeks out, & already have way more energy to do lots of walking. Wishing you lots of luck & success! Feel better

It gets way, way better after you start to heal more and your body begins to adjust. I would do it all over again in a second if I had to. It is a wonderful gift.

I could've posted this word for word. I'm 3 days post op too and I've felt nothing but worry about my decision. It will get better bc it has to get better. In a few weeks we'll be over the moon, I can feel it.

It's normal to feel like you do, after all you just had major surgery. So it's gonna suck for a bit, but it does get better. Be kind to yourself, concentrate on healing & getting better. Years from now you'll see this as a blip on your radar screen.

Welcome to the losers bench. Take care & be well.

I?m 10 days out biw and I can tell you that days 3 and 4 were my worst. Just a week later and I?m starting to feel normal again - tired but my usual self. Except when I eat, of course. I?m having a hard time imagining eating solid foods with this teeny sleeve.

The weight is melting off now too, an amazing incentive.

Weather the storm and be kind to yiurself for the next few days, it does get better :)
