Morning. I'm planning on going to the support group at my Bari center tonight for the first time. I'm bringing an interested pre-op friend. My center is 90 minutes away, so I haven't had a chance to get there at 6pm on a Tuesday yet! I'm hoping the weather will be nice enough for us to drive through the mountains to get there. My friend asked what we were going to do for dinner, and I didn't have an answer. I don't know the town very well where my center is. You don't realize how much you're ok with a gas station hard boiled egg and cheese stick on the road until you have to make dinner decisions!

QOTD: I don't think we've asked in a while: Do you have any pets and what are their names? I have an 8-year old Lab/Pitbull mix named Piper (male) and a 2-year old tortoie cat named Gretel. We also have four chickens named Butterscotch (rooster), Winnie, Esther, and Spaz (a hen!). We sadly lost our favorite chicken on New Year's Day from the cold.

Good morning! Your mention of going to a support meeting reminded me that I needed to look up when the next one in Florida is. Luckily it is as close as the ones I go to on Cape Cod (1/2 hour).

QOTD: We only have 16 year old Chiquita (chihuahua) now. She mostly sleeps, goes to the bathroom and eats. The latter became an issue after Duchess (14 year old beagle) died last month, but I found a new food which is essentially like human food so she is hungry all the time lately. DS has warned that there may be a new dog in the house when we get back from Florida in April. Probably a mixed rescue dog.

1 year, 9 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: grilled chicken and salad

S: Halo top ice cream, nut thins and hummus

Tuesday, the days are flying by. Next thing you know 2018 will be over! LOL

QOTD: We have downsized over the last several years. We had 5 cats and 3 dogs at one point. Unfortunately we have lost them one by one due to death and illness. We are down to 2 cats and one dog and a fish. Milo (a huge orange maine coon who thinks he is a dog), Mojo (a sleek black panther looking cat, who is the epitome of catness) and Button, a little Shih Tzu who is the light of my life.

M1: Coffee, miralax, PP vanilla

M2: Over easy egg

M3: ¾ of a PP Caramel Shake

M4: LC cheese wedge and beefy chili with black eyed peas

M5: Beef with gravy (noodles for the family)

S: Jerky

E: Nothing formal.

Water/Vits: on track.

I went for a walk this morning! I'm so happy! I actually had a reason to charge my headphones last night! I wore Microspikes on my shoes so I'd be safe, since the sidewalks are still fairly icy. Due to the ice, I kept it short and only did one "short loop" which is about .8 miles, but it felt good and I feel good. On Thursday I'm hoping to do two of those. I need to safely work on increasing my stamina.

Today I've got an appointment with a new potential psychiatrist. Here's hoping this one is better than the last.

QOTD: I have zero pets. The last of my cats died about a year after VSG and life has not been conducive to properly caring for pets in the last few years. And we're now hoping/planning to move in 2020, so it seems like it makes most sense to wait until we're settled in a new home to get a pair of kittens - since it'll be easier to sell this house without the detritus of cats.

1: protein shake
2: migas
3: sous vide filet mignon, red wine butter, potato and bacon "cake" - I'll also be sous viding chicken thighs for Wednesday's dinner and, probably, sous viding some hard boiled eggs since the two test eggs I did the other day turned out PERFECTLY. (Lance likes having HB eggs around to munch on.)

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: a lovely walk!

Good morning! I get to see my therapist for the first time today since my surgery, so I'm happy about that. The office has sort of ticked me off lately, they've gotten so busy that it's nearly impossible to schedule appointments that aren't during work hours. I go twice a month, since it's extremely expensive until I hit my deductible (usually in June.)

QOTD: I have three pets. Fluffy is a stray that I almost hit with my car about 8 years ago. Unfortunately, I let my 12-year-old sister name her. She's a pomeranian/chihuahua mix and still extremely active in her old age. We never could locate her owner. Rufus was adopted from a nearby animal shelter. He's a hefty orange cat that could use a little VSG himself. Fluffy was having surgery and we spied him from across the recovery room in a big cage about two years ago. Our vet said that he'd been there for over A YEAR (they found him in the woods nearby) so we adopted him straightaway after he pawed at us through the cage. Ollie is another orange kitty cat. We found him in our driveway about 8 months ago. He likes to sleep under the covers with us, which I find adorable and DW finds annoying.

B: premier chocolate shake

L: 2 homemade turkey meatballs with 1 tablespoon stewed tomato

D: Sriracha Tilapia with a couple teaspoonfuls of plain Greek Yogurt and an ounce of steamed squash

Snacks: babybel cheese, decaf coffee

I always feel like I'm so late to post on these threads! I wish I had some more free time in the morning.

OTTD: I have two rescue cats and I love them to death! One is 3 (Rusty) and the other is 4 (Gibson) [Click here for photos!]

As for my meals today there isn't much to report on. I have a touch of a tummy bug so I'm really just picking away at the things in this list..

B: 1/2 of a Muscle Milk

L: 1 egg scrambled, 2-3 cherry tomatoes

D: 3oz Pulled Chicken in home made stock
