Morning! You believe that we're nearly through January already? We had a warm weekend with highs in the mid-30's. We're supposed to get some ice today and then really warm into the mid-40's tomorrow. There are two winter events this weekend that hinge on cold weather and it looks like it'll be 50 degrees again!

QOTD: Do you have any artistic/musical ability? That's a big fat no for me. I did a paint and sip yesterday and I'm always impressed I manage to accomplish the paintings because I have no pretty much no talent!

12 months post-op/Maintenance/133.1lbs

M1: Coffee, PP, Miralax, HC

M2: Egg, Sausage, Cheese

M3: Ham & Cheese

M4: TBD, but I think pork chops

M5: Yogurt w/PB

E: I think today might be a running day.

Good morning! Yeah, Patriots and Eagles! The Patriots always keep us on the edge of our seats but they pulled it off. We had a great dinner and the no-noodle lasagne was a big hit. It took about 1.5 hours of preparation time, but was well worth it. According to MFP, it is about 36 calories per ounce and 2.7 grams of protein (I weighed my serving). A copy of the recipe is below.

QOTD: Nope, no artistic/musical leanings at all. I can hear music fine in my head but it sounds nothing like it when it comes out of my mouth. I can appreciate art, but can't produce it. I somehow have an eye for personal interior decorating but it takes me a long time to arrive at what I want to do so I could never have done it for anyone else.

1 year, 10 months post-op

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: Leftover no-noodle lasagne (unless we go out)

S: yogurt

Good morning! So... congrats to all of the Pats fans. It should be a good match up with the Eagles on Superbowl Sunday. I'm looking forward to it.

QOTD: I play clarinet and am learning the flute. I compose music with Finale on the computer, but I can't paint, draw or carry a tune in a bucket. I love to crochet and love anything crafty that is three dimensional. And I can cook gourmet, but my baking skills are limited to whop biscuits (the kind you peel off the paper and whop on the counter...). I can even screw up a dump cake. LOL

M1: Coffee, PP vanilla, miralax

M2: Egg, sous vide chicken breast

M3: Shrimp

M4: LO Lasagna (no noodles)

M5: TBD

S: Jerky or other protein forward snack if needed before bed

E: Walking

Water/Vits: on track

If we're considering baking/cooking artistic talent then I WIN. I am cook/bake anything under the sun without issue. But, I've always just considered that a life skill. I never realized that I was not just a good cook, but a great coo****il our family friend moved in with us (she's going on 70) and she told me I'm a better cook than her, and she's a really fantastic cook.

GOAT - Yes, that's Tom Brady!!!

QOTD: I used to play violin in middle and high school - and actually won a scholarship to Boston School of Ballet in college. It's funny because neither of these match up to my personality.

B: IDK, deciding what to eat

L: meatballs

D: leftover homemade pasta, meatballs, sauce from the garden tomatoes that i froze - yum.

Can't get in much pasta, but I made it as well with 00 flour so it's soft and easier to eat than store bought. A few bites makes me happy.

E: nope

L/V: yes

I had a lovely weekend and now it's time to get my **** together for this week. I've got a follow-up with my surgeon this week and I'm spending the weekend with my mom, so I have some time constraints to plan around.

QOTD: I took piano lessons as a kid, then tenor saxophone, then I had a guitar but didn't do much with it. Then I bought a celtic harp. I started taking voice lessons as an adult, after a lifetime in choirs. Now I'd say that I can "play" a piano well enough to plonk out notes for my vocal part (I own a small keyboard and a full-size key 76-key keyboard). And I sing. I have zero creative artistic ability, though.

1: protein shake
2: leftover crispy shredded beef
3: don't know yet since I still need to meal plan!

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: yoga

QOTD: Do you have any artistic/musical ability? Well, I can honestly say that after 10 years of piano lessons, NO I don't have talent. I do, however, knit, crochet, bead and partake in several other arts.

M1: Chicken

M2: Cheese stick w/peanut butter

M3: Greek Yogurt

M4: TBD...not sure what the hubby will make

M5: PP

E: Today is my progress appointment with physical therapy and then down to the gym for the bike.

Although I'm "learning" the flute, that basically means, I now own one and I can make noise with it. I'm teaching myself the basic fingerings, but at this rate, I might be able to play a real song at my own funeral. But, hey, it makes me happy when I have a moment to pick it up and make noise with it.
