How do you guys handle salad? I've been released to eat vegetables but everything I've had so far have been cooked and somewhat soft. I've been been having a major craving for salad with blue cheese crumbles!!!

That was one of the first things I had once my doc said I could have raw veggies! (Except it was with goat cheese - yum). I started with a tiny serving size and chewed very well and had no problems. I know some have had difficulty with raw greens, but all was well in my own experience.

Thanks! It worked out pretty good. I ate about half out of one of my son's kids bowels. Used spinach instead of iceberg for extra nutrients.

My dietician wants me to try raw veggies and some fruit now. Maybe a little salad with feta cheese is in order?

I have not had any issues with vegs of any type. I don't bother with iceberg as it is a waste of sleeve space, but I did have an oriental chicken salad out and had no issues. I also chewed really well and ate slowly and stopped as soon as I neared full. I have also had lightly sauteed kale and raw spinach. I have not tried cucumber skin though. If I have a cucumber, I've peeled it and only ate one slice (as a dipper, aka a cracker).

I did pretty good. I never use iceberg either for that same reason. I used spinach. Was able to take in about half of a children's bowel. It was tasty!
