Can we still chew gum after surgery?

Yes, just don't swallow it especially if you are early out from surgery.

Sure, but your NUT would probably state sugar free only.

My insructions say NO gum. Because of gas & the fear that it may be swallowed. Who swallows gum? But maybe by being so hungry or accidently it can happen. If you do, limit the amount of time like just sit & chew don't do chores ect while chewing & spit it out rught away. Just becuase the risk is so great, u dnt want to damage ur new tummy.

For some people gum makes them crave food, so if you're one of those people, don't chew it.
