Good morning - It's a glorious day here in the northeast

QOTD: Do you worship the sun and bake yourself or do you slather in sunscreen? I'll answer in a comment

B: probably cheerios - refrigerator is virtually dead

L: went out to lunch with DH - baked stuffed shrimp and a baked potato - will have the other half for dinner

E: will walk - it's gorgeous. Had a great long walk yesterday

L/V: on track

I'll admit, I LOVE the sun and feel like we all look healthier with a little color - however, I have had a basal cell on my nose. So I still sit in the sun, but cover my face with SPF 30, at least, and the rest of me with SPF 15 or better, depending on where I am.

Good morning! I hope the weather in the Northeast holds for next week (I know it will in Aruba). We had a good day yesterday on a sailboat during the day and then a fantastic sunset in the evening (we don't see many of them this time of year here).

QOTD: I wear a 30 sunscreen here and still get tan walking on the beach 2-3 times a day and sitting under the "chickee" the rest of the day. The UV is usually 11 here! I am now tan pretty much all year between Florida, Aruba and Cape Cod. I do wear sunscreen and always wear sunglasses and a hat, but I tan easily.

2 Years, 2.5 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 18.5 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese

L: Deli turkey

D: Leftover grouper and veggies or going out

S: Protein cake bite (1-3 for dessert, depending on the day)

Good morning,

I have a few errands to run then work. Then bible study tonight if our pastor is feeling better. He's been out for over two weeks now due to a herniated disc in his back and sciatica in there too.

Qotd when I go out for long periods of time in the sun I wear 50 spf otherwise I burn. But with that I tan.

B ham and cheese omelette, string cheese and pork and beans

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D hamburger patty, green beans and grapes

Have a good day

Good morning! 'Tis the season in South Carolina where it will be super hot and humid until October.

QOTD: Not only do I not worship the sun, I typically hide from it unless it's cool and sunny. The only way you'll catch me in the hot sun is if I'm swimming which I love. But I don't tan, I burn & freckle, and both of my munchkins are redheads so we all wear sunscreen, hats, coverups, radhguards, umbrellas, more sunscreen...

B - coffee & protein

L - salami & cheddar

D - chicken breast & roasted peppers

E - lunges & crunches

I'm super angry right now. Pretty much all the time about a lot of things (so don't be surprised if I'm not around very much in the weeks to come). Immediately, I'm angry at my cervical vertebrae. I just finished up PT for my right shoulder (pain due to bone spurs on the cervical vertebrae that surround the nerve that goes to the shoulder) and was doing great for like.. 2 weeks. Then, yesterday morning, I did -something- while getting dressed to run and my left shoulder freaked the **** out and now my left shoulder feels exactly like my right shoulder did when the pain started back in 2015. I'm really pissed off about this. I've got an orthopedist appointment at the end of the month that I had figured I'd be cancelling since my shoulder was fine, but now I'll be keeping it so I can get a shot ordered because I definitely don't have time for physical therapy again right now. RAGE.

Anyway..

QOTD: When I'm outside, I slather. My anatomy professor was big on telling us that the things we do when we're young will kill us when we're old, so I try to be careful. Considering my dad's cancer was an epithelial cell cancer (merkel cells), who knows how much of that has a genetic component and what not.

1: protein shake
2: out to lunch with bereavement group - maybe a crab cake?
3: it's leftover night, no idea what's in the fridge right now. Some sort of delicious protein.

liquid and vites: on track with liquids, today might be a bad day for vites, but I'll do my best
exercise: depends on my shoulder - definitely some PT shoulder exercises

I'm sorry Gwen that you are going through this. It's painful and extremely frustrating. I finally gave in last October and had Arthroscopic surgery on my right shoulder to clean it up and remove the bone spurs. I made the decision after YEARS of PT and shots. It would get better then I would move it just slightly the wrong way and I would be right back at the beginning! I hope you will get some relief at your appointment. My shoulder is 50% better, but it does take a year(hopefully not that long:-) Be kind to yourself and take care Gwen

Sadly the surgical option for cervical vertebrae is fusion and I'm totally not ready for that yet :/

I completely read your post wrong, I thought the pain was in your shoulder joint. Cervical vertebrae is a whole other story plus now causing your other side to hurt...I hope you find relief Gwen, so sorry!

Yeah, the pain is in my shoulder, but it's due to the nerve being pinched by the cervical spine. :(
