Topic: RE: Update

I am now 15 months now from my surgery.  I am not at goal but I am not gaining either.  Hopefully I will be at goal by October 2013.  Had my surgery October 2012.  I exercise every day but I guess I am just stuck.  I now weigh 143 pounds and wear a size 10 in Jeans and I am 5/2" tall.  My goal is 125.

I saw dr Nicholson on Friday. This was my one year visit. He told me you lose 70 percent of your weight 18 to 24 months after surgery. I have lost 77 percent in 12 months...so I am on track even though I am not at goal. I was 230 pounds. Today I am 152.2. I have 25 more pounds to lose. I am not the fastest loser but it will eventually come off

Topic: RE: IVC filter?
I had it done before I had knee surgery in 2007.  I still have it.  Don't fret.  Piece of cake.  More protection for you.  I had a history of blood clots also.

Zumba is so much fun. I do it twice a week, hip hop once a week, body pump once a week. Elliptical three times a week and finally weight train three times a week. My body has changed.

Topic: RE: Almost One Year
October 18, 2012 I will be one year since my VSG.  I started at 230 and my weight this morning is 155.4.  My goal is 125-130.  I think it will take me a little longer however, something is better then nothing.  I've been a slow loser but I try not to compare myself to anyone.  I was a size 22 in pants and now I am a 10.  Just thought I would say hello to everyone and for those that are slow losers....it does come off.....lots of water, correct portion of food, tracking your food, and exercise.  Maybe in 6 months or so I will be at 125-130.
